Education professionals' mental health

According to the latest Teacher Wellbeing Index published by Education Support, 62% of surveyed education professionals describe themselves as stressed and over half of them had considered leaving the profession due to pressures on their health and wellbeing. In addition, COVID-19 and the classroom report reveals that 52% of all school teachers feel that their mental health and wellbeing had declined either considerably or a little due to COVID-19 pandemic.

During this challenging period of increased pressure and anxiety, it is essential for school leaders and those responsible for governance to focus on staff mental health. Good organisational leadership and a positive work culture, where staff feels supported and motivated, can have a beneficial effect on their psychological wellbeing. This in turn may increase their performance, improve relationships with students, as well as prevent long-term burnout.

At Corazon Health we can help you adapt a range of measures in order to support education staff who may be experiencing mental health issues. Click on the document below to find out more information on our services.
