This Thursday is The World Day for Safety and Health at Work – a global campaign, run by The International Labour Organisation, aiming to promote the creation of safe working environments and the prevention of work-related illnesses, accidents and deaths. This year the campaign will focus on the topic of participation and social dialogue in creating a positive safety and health culture.
As an employer you should regularly identify, assess and manage the risks in your workplace and provide a Health Surveillance (HS) program to all employees who are exposed to health risks to ensure that you comply with HSE regulations. Health surveillance may detect employee’s work-related ill health at an early stage and help implement better safety controls to prevent it from getting worse. If you haven’t arranged the Health Surveillance programme yet, please get in touch with us and we will help you organise this.
