World Diabetes Day 2021

This Sunday, 14th of November, is World Diabetes Day - the world’s largest diabetes awareness campaign. The campaign was originally launched in 1991 by the International Diabetes Federation and the World Health Organisation in response to the escalating health problems posed by diabetes. According to IDF Diabetes Atlasapproximately 537 million adults worldwide are living with diabetes and it has caused 6.7 million deaths in 2021.

Early diagnosis and treatment of diabetes is crucial for overall health and can reduce the risk of developing serious complications. At Corazon Health we can offer blood glucose level tests. Taking just a few minutes, the results could have a major impact on an individual’s life.

Having the right care and support is essential for the wellbeing of all people with diabetes. To understand some of the needs of people suffering from diabetes and how they can be supported in the workplace, have a look at  Supporting someone with diabetes at work guide by Diabetes UK.
