Health and Safety Executive (HSE) statutory regulations require employers to provide health surveillance for employees who are exposed to health risks at work that could have a negative impact on their health. This could include exposure to noise, vibration, radiation, solvents, fumes, dusts and other hazardous substances. By providing health surveillance, you can demonstrate that you are compliant with regulations and are meeting your duty of care for your staff.

KEEP YOUR EMPLOYEES SAFE AND PROTECTED

Monitoring the health of employees exposed to specific health risks  can help you prevent and control occupational diseases in your workplace. Detecting ill-health effects at an early stage will help you to ensure better controls are put in place to prevent them from getting worse. Also, health surveillance programmes can enable your employees to raise any concerns about how work affects their health.

evaluate health risks WITH GATHERED DATA

Health Surveillance programmes can help  highlight lapses in your workplace control measures and provide invaluable feedback to the risk assessment. With the gathered data you could evaluate the effectiveness of current workplace interventions and adjustments. It can also provide an opportunity to reinforce training and education of your employees, for example on the use of personal protective equipment.

THE HEALTH SURVEILLANCE PROCESS

We work with you to review the occupational health risks in your workplace, determine employees who are exposed to them and will therefore require surveillance.

Once the risks are established, we arrange an annual schedule of onsite visits based on your health surveillance requirements.

During the appointment the practitioner will assess an employee for the noted surveillance risks, assist in completing digital health questionnaire and perform any relevant tests.

The results are compiled and a digital report to management is issued. We track the ongoing surveillance appointments required to maintain your compliance.
